Online Statement Disclosure and Consent

By acknowledging and accepting this Online Statement Disclosure and Consent you agree to accept account statements electronically. All account statements related to your account that we provide to you in electronic form will be provided or available via your online banking account. In addition, upon your request we will email you copies of account agreements, cleared checks and certain other documents relating to your account. A fee will be charged according to our Fee Schedule.

First American Bank will document and archive all statements to ensure future availability whether produced electronically or in print. You may request an email notification to be promptly notified by email each time your statement(s) is available.

In order to stop email notification that your statement is available, you must contact Customer Care at 800.289.6140. In addition, upon your request we will email you copies of account agreements, cleared checks and certain other documents relating to your account. A fee will be charged according to our Fee Schedule.

It is your responsibility to provide us with true, accurate and complete email address, contact, and other information related to this consent and your accounts and to maintain and update promptly any changes in this information. You can update your contact information such as your email address by contacting Customer Care at 800.289.6140.

If you have a “multiple-party account” as defined in the Terms and Conditions account agreement, your email address may be changed by any authorized party to your account. First American Bank shall have no obligation or liability to any of the parties to a “multiple-party account” if the email address is changed.

You must promptly review your online statement and any accompanying items and notify us in writing of any unauthorized signatures, alterations, forgeries, or any other errors in your account within 60 days of when we first send or make the online statement available, regardless of when you receive and/or open the online statement. This 60 day limitation is without regard to whether we used ordinary care. Any applicable time periods within which you must notify us of any errors on your account statement(s) shall begin on the date your online statement was sent.

You have the option to receive records and statements in paper form, contact your local First American Bank or call Customer Care at 800.289.6140. A fee will be charged according to our Fee Schedule per copy or statement. 

First American Bank is not responsible for any electronic virus or viruses that you may encounter. First American Bank suggests that you routinely scan your PC(s) using a virus protection product.

When you choose to accept account statements electronically, you will only have access to bank statements via online banking or by calling Customer Care at 800.289.6140.

If you choose to cancel your enrollment in online statements, contact your local First American Bank or call 800.289.6140 and provide the appropriate account numbers. If you choose to cancel your enrollment in online statements, you will only have access to bank statements via mail or by calling Customer Care at 800.289.6140. Any such cancellation will be effective only after we have a reasonable period of time to process your withdrawal for online statements. We will not impose a fee to process the cancelation.
